Random Pixels presents Roadrunner, America's only long distance running cat

Miami's got Lorenzo the Cat, arguably America's top tomcat in the kitty modeling world.

But look out Lorenzo. Better check your rear view mirror.

Roadrunner, America's ONLY Long Distance Running Cat may be on your tail in less time than it takes to say "kitty cardio." Roadrunner, is a feline Forrest Gump from Asbury Park, NJ. You heard me right....a cat from the Jersey Shore who can probably run circles around Snooki and The Situation.

From the Asbury Park Press:
Fitness trainer Michael Greenblatt was on his daily morning run in December 2008, when he noticed he had a regular spectator.

Originally igniting the memory of his childhood cat, Nubbs, the solid black kitten sat and watched as Greenblatt ran by for almost three weeks until building the courage to make first contact. Little did he know, this ownerless feline would soon take up Greenblatt's love of running.

It happened during an early morning jog one day after the cat rubbed against his leg for the first time. As he passed the kitten, she ran out into the street and began keeping pace. As Greenblatt began his cool-down, she walked back with him. The immediate connection between the two was hard to ignore.

"I was not looking for a pet," Greenblatt said. "She found me, and it's been a blessing."
-Thanks to Ellie Brecher for the heads up!

  1. "I was not looking for a pet." That's what they all say!
